Daniel Rife

My father Daniel Rife was born on February 22, 1964, the son of Robert Rife Sr. and, Mary Rodgers. My dad lived for his children, he worked hard to provide a good life for his children. He would always tell me to make sure my kids are taken care of and to work hard and pay my bills and not to trust anyone, not even family because they will be the first to backstab you. He was a very blunt and honest man. Daniel would give the shirt off his back to anyone but never received the same energy. That did not stop him from helping others, even if they did not deserve it. He put his heart into his business because he was making his life so his children could not struggle. A lot of people tried to take advantage of the situations but he was a very business oriented man and business was business only for him. Danie's children were his life. One thing I do know is he loved his nephews, he took them under his wing and put them and their close friends to work at an early age. To teach them different skills to be a man. He is beyond proud of his nephew, Greg Insley, and Paul Weese for becoming men. He would say it so often to me. No one could say or do anything to me, and no matter what he was doing or where he was, if he knew I needed him he would drop everything he was doing, even if it was on top of a 30-foot roof. He would be there in a matter of minutes. If it's a fad to do with his grandchildren also. I am very saddened my little sister Christina Rife did not get to experience that part of her dad. The people that meant the most to my father, were me, Barb, Kelly, Christina, Paul, and Greg. He was close to a lot of people, but they were the ones closest to him. He will be remembered as a man that would put everyone before his own needs. Look in the sky for the red bird Christina Rife.
