The family of Sharon Lynn Smith announces with great sorrow her passing on January 25, 2021. She was born on January 4th, 1950 in Springfield, OH to Earlie Mae White and Samuel White. Sharon attended South High School. She enjoyed being a photographer at Olan Mills Photo Studio in her early years. She later retired from her career as a Quality Assurance agent at Assurant Solutions. Sharon became a baptized and devoted Jehovah’s Witness on May 16th, 2010. “Shaggy” as she was affectionately nicknamed was loved by all who knew her. Her infectious laugh and giving spirit brought joy and comfort to her family and friends. She was always ready to lend a listening ear or helping hand. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Earlie Mae White, and Samuel White; grandmother Zephree Jones and great aunt, Martha Johnson. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, Larry E. and Renee Smith Jr., Samuel V. Smith and Earlie L. Smith; siblings, Shirley A., Harry Hart; Clifton and Mildred White; Teresa and Sylvester Jordan; Melvin and Miriam White; grandchildren, Raymond E. Smith; Larry E. and Emily Smith (III); nieces, Candi White, Taffy (Terence) Leslie, Maurissa Fletcher, Ruth White, Sara White, Miriam White, and Zephree White; nephews, Melvin White, Clifton White Jr., Ricky (Melissa) Jordan, Joshua White, and Isiah White; special son-in-law Quintell Jones and special friend Sharon Kennerly and a host of other family, friends, and relatives. Whether you know her as Sharon or Shaggy, remember her for her resilience, warmth, and her fun and loving spirit.
