Steven Sylvester Mosley

Steven S. Mosley, a longtime resident of Springfield, Ohio died unexpectedly on December 30, 2019 at the age of 66 peacefully in his home.

Steven is survived by his children, Steven Brantley and Chanythia Mosley; his stepchildren LayToya Herring J.D., M.Ed., MEDL., Dr. Lelia Head, Michael Head, Darryl Ellis, Chris Askew, and Cecilia Alexander; his 1st niece Amber Burton; Siblings Tammy (Winston) Burton, Gary Bray, Gregory Gilmore and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria (Millard) Dixon, Luther “Bootsie” Bray, Kevin “Lennie” Bray, Jana Bray and Jonathan Bray

Steve was born in Springfield, Ohio on November 27, 1953 to Luther Mosley and Georgia Sanford-Mosley. He graduated from Springfield South High School in 1971 and received an associate degree from Wilmington College. He welded at Snyder Tank for several years.

Steve was a devoted father and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. He made a lifestyle out of what millennials now call “hacks”. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. Steve was a loving individual who always had a funny story. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Monday January 6, 2020 at Porter-Qualls-Freeman Funeral Home 823 South Yellow Springs Street, Springfield, Ohio from 2:00-4:00pm
