Testimonials

I was in dire need of help to plan my dads Homegoing. Being from Macomb MI I had no idea of what to do,. I had no idea how to make arrangements for a funeral. My cousin suggested that I go to Porter-Qualls Freeman so I called and Lisa set up an appointment for the next day. the funeral home was in Springfield and I was in Xenia instead of me having to go to Springfield They met me in Xenia. They explained the different burial packages to me in detail. My dad had no insurance so my siblings and I had to pay out of pocket. After we chose the package we wanted, it was very reasonable. By my dad being in the Army Veteran Lisa explained to me the paperwork that I needed so that my dad could get his full military honors. They were very consoling and patient. When my dad finally made his transition I called Lisa in the middle of the night and she said she would send someone directly and that they would take good care of him. By my dad being in Yellow Springs again instead of me having to navigate my way to a place I've never been before Lane who takes care of the remains came over to my cousin's house to pick up his clothes, not only that he sat and talked to me for over an hour. Lane reassured me that he would take extra special care of my dad, he promised me that it wouldn't be necessary to go to Yellow Springs to view the body. He was so sincere and comforting I trusted him. When I got to New Life Christian Assembly where his funeral was held and they brought my dads body in I was in total awe at how grand my dad looked he was absolutely gorgeous. He was so handsome he looked just like he was asleep. His body was well taken care of his color was the same as when I last saw him alive. He had his full military honors. Hearing the Taps was so beautiful and the folding of the flag was a sight to be remembered. My siblings and family were so happy with the way Porter-Qualls Freeman took care of us. They were so professional and they really did care about us. I would recommend
Porter-Qualls Freeman to anyone. Thank you Lisa, Rev. Freeman, Lane, and the entire Porter-Qualls Freeman Family we could never repay you for everything that you've done for our family. You are a wonderful class of people. We will never forget your labor of love.
In loving memory of our dad James Homer Bruce Sr.

The Porter-Qualls, Freeman funeral home did an outstanding job taking care of our loved one Lisa Ervin; insuring that we were involved in the process of her celebration of her life. At times we could not talk due to our river of tears. They were there waiting patiently with prayers and hugs. I appreciate the prayers, laughs we shared and all their knowledge helping us make Lisa’s home going awesome.
